Donald B. Suss, J.D., is a structured settlement consultant for Structured Financial Associates, Inc. (SFA) and manager of the company’s Exton, PA office. Don is a founding member of SFA.
Don has practiced as a litigation attorney since 1977 and has been a structured settlement consultant since 1983. He is a member of National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) and chairman of the NSSTA PAC Board of Directors (2011-2012). He has been a faculty member for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI), the Chester County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Worker’s Compensation Bench. Don is co-author of the PBI manual section entitled, “Guardianships, Trusts, Structured Settlements and Taxes–Settling the Substandard Personal Injury Case.”
Don specializes in the resolution of complex workers’ compensation claims, both at the primary and excess layers. He participates directly in the negotiation and mediation of claims, including the funding of the Medicare Set-Aside allocation.
Don earned his B.A. degree from Lehigh University and subsequently received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
Don and his wife, Anne, celebrated their thirty fifth wedding anniversary in 2009. They have two children. Jack is a 2012 PhD from Drexel University in Ecology. Melinda is a 2005 graduate of Wagner College with a degree in business where she also played on the soccer team. She is currently a structured settlement consultant assistant with Don in the Exton, PA office. In his spare time Don loves to attend sporting events, travel the world and visit wineries. Print Bio
